DTAC was invited to tender for the supply of Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs) at Federation Square, Cnr Flinders Street & St Kilda Road, Melbourne. Over a 14 month period in conjunction with the builders, designers and architects DTAC installed over 40,000 TGSIs to aid the visually impaired.
We were able to work closely with the architects and prove the advantage of using DTAC as a high performance and visually appealing product.
DTAC MAX Classic tactile indicators are manufactured from 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel and are compliant with the Australia and New Zealand Standard 1428.4 (2002). All the products in this range have been independently tested and certified.
The MAX Classic range includes engraved concentric circles onto the face of the tactile or a 3M Black Safety-Walk that is inserted into the face of the stainless steel tactile. Both types achieve the highest standards of slip resistance in all environmental conditions.
The product range has two formats, discreet TGSIs with either a flat back or spiked fixing device and integrated TGSI tile format. All of the DTAC Max Classic range is manufactured for the exclusive use of 3M structurally rated adhesives that create a chemical and or mechanical bonding to the substrate. These patent pending designs and methods of installation are unique to DTAC guaranteeing a quality second to none.
