ARM ARCHITECTS DELIVERS MELBOURNE A WORLD CLASS PACKAGE
Few designers get the chance to freely envision an architecture that has the spacial impact as the new Melbourne Theatre Company precinct does. Alighting from the pavement and jettisoned up the entry stairs, this architecture from Ashton Raggatt McDougall, the latest in their collection of leading projects, presents at plethora of colour and the feeling that 'you have most certainly arrived.'
'Working on projects where design integrity is evident invigorates our own product design team,' says Dean Homicki, CEO of DTAC. 'Our certified installers respond well also, consulting and installing on building works where craftsmanship is appreciated, complimenting their own ethos of 'do it right the first time'.'
To maintain the essential services requirement [AS/NZS 1428.4 (2002)] for the new Melbourne Theatre Company, DTAC will be enacting a 12 and 24 month 'Tactile Compliance Review Programme' where the installation is inspected and catalogued. 'We make this information available to the facility manager and the building owner' says Susie Phillips, DTAC's Client Liaison Officer. 'When we deliver the 'Customer Care Pack,' which includes notification of the 'Compliance Review Programme', we are so glad to finish the transaction that originally started with the architects' specification. Most clients of the designers do not know of the responsibilities and obligations that govern the application of tactile indicators. The DTAC Customer Care and Warranty is a cautious way of walking with the building owner and demonstrating why DTAC is committed to their accessible environment.'
